It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. You can get virtually any movie you want with a good movie download site. Here are some examples.

Van Helsing: Van Helsing is sent to Transylvania to deal with evil forces. When he arrives he finds he will have to defeat Count Dracula himself. Anna Valerious joins Van Helsing in an attempt to stop the onslaught of her royal family.

No Man's Land: Beginner cop goes undercover to snare a prosperous youthful car buff that performs a hot automobile ring, finds he loves his target, the target's sis, and robbing Porsches. Excellent premise largely botched. Cast includes Charlie Sheen, D.R Sweeney, Lara Harris, Randy Quaid, Bill Duke, and Emmet Walsh. (106 minutes, 1987)

Defense of the Realm: Hard, compulsive reporter Byrne's investigative tale causes a British MP to concede-although there's more to the case than he knows. A tight, incredibly amusing partisan thriller that additionally feels speaking of which journalistic accountability and the commune's right to know what its government is up to. Cast includes David Drury, Gabriel Byrne, Greta Scacchi, Denholm Elliott, Ian Bannen, Bill Paterson, and Fulton Mackay. (96 minutes, 1985)

With his new partner George, they set out to clean up the drug problems in the 21st. When they do, they find a lot of dirty cops are involved.

Above and Beyond: Above and Beyond is a gripping recount of the story of the men who dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima. The movie puts the burden of what they did in perspective though the eyes of these men. Stars Robert Taylor, Eleanor Parker, James Whitmore, and Jim Backus. (1952 Military)

Coal Miner's Daughter: Towels-to-wealth tale of nation singer Loretta Lynn is amid the best lyrical bios ever made, albeit very last quarter does skid over some "down side" details. Spacek won a well-warranted Oscar and did her own singing. However, Jones D'Angelo and Helm drummer for The Band are just as good. Cast includes Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones, Beverly D' Angelo, Levon Helm, Phyllis Boyens, and Ernest Tubb. (125 minutes, 1980)

Amistad: This film is based on the true story of an unsuccessful mutiny aboard a slave ship in 1839 bound for the US. The subsequent trial would put the entire foundation of the US legal system on trial. Three great men, abolitionist Theodore Joadson, lawyer Roger Baldwin, and former president John Quincy Adams fight for the freedom, and civil rights, of the African slaves.

Coming To America: Prince Akeem has come to Queens N.Y. from Africa. Back in Africa, a wife has been selected for him to marry. Instead the Prince comes to America to find the love of his life, and marry her instead.

Eyewitness: Smooth however unsatisfying thriller in regards to a creating janitor who uses his second-hand experience of an unsolved slaughter to get close to a girl Television news journalist with whom he's been infatuated. Steve Tesich's script is needlessly cluttered with little characters and tale twirls. Cast includes William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver, Christopher Plummer, James Woods, Irene Worth, Steven Hill, and Morgan Freeman. (102 minutes, 1970)
