The Possum: George Jones

By James G. Pynn

If you know, then you know. If you don't know, then you should. George Jones was one of the hardest drinking, fastest living son of a guns in all of country music history. Admittedly living a life modeled after his hero, Hank Williams, George Jones blazed a trail of infamy and heartache across the wide-open plains of country music history. Known for his distinctive voice and loose phrasing style, the exploits of George Jones have passed from mere stories into legend.

It's true: according to Country Music Television, Jones is the "the greatest living country singer" today. In true George Jones style, I'm sure hed say something to the effect, "it's the living part that's tricky." His clever turn of phrases and unusual vocal style can best be sampled on such legendary hits as "Hello Walls" and "If the Drinkin' Don't Kill Me." Then again, all of his songs carry that signature sound.

Famously married to Tammy Wynette, their marriage was one made in madness. It was the stuff of legend, often requiring the services of the local sheriff to help them mediate. Of course that's a fancy word for "cool off." Between his drinking problem and her drug addiction, it was not the high point of marital bliss for either one of them, When it all came crashing down in 1975, no one was surprised.

Now in his seventies, George Jones has not stopped recording or touring. Indeed, he is on tour this summer and is coming to a local gin joint near you. Though there might no be as much pep in his step, his voice is as rich and full as ever. No one can turn a song like The Possum. For those of you not in the know, that's his nickname.

It has never been easier to get your hands on a pair of George Jones tickets. You just have to follow the links to the best little booking service around. Don't wait until the last minute and fall prey to the scalpers. Get a great ticket at a fair price and sleep well at night. But do it quick, because the Possum is not on tour for long.

The Fundamentals of Tennis.

By Gail Jones

I expect that this, my first article will be found useful by both novices and experts alike in the tennis world. I am trying to arouse interest in the student of the game of tennis by a somewhat lengthy discussion of match play, which I hope will shed a new light on the sport of tennis.

I will turn to the novice in my opening article and write of certain matters which are second nature to the skilled player. The best tennis equipment is not much good to the beginner even if he really wants to improve. However, one has to buy good quality; it is a saving in the end, as high quality material far outlasts poor quality equipment.

It is vital always to wear tennis apparel when playing tennis. The question of choosing a tennis racquet is a much more serious decision. I do not like to force a certain brand of racquet upon any player, since all the famous makes are of excellent quality. However, the weight, balance, and size of the handle are the really important considerations when choosing a racquet frame, while good stringing is essential to get optimum results.

After you have bought your racquet, make a firm resolve to use only quality tennis balls, as a consistent bounce is a great aid to advancement, while a "dead" ball is no use at all. If you really want to succeed at the game and advance rapidly, I strongly urge you to see all the good tennis you can. Study the play of the leading players and strive to copy their strokes. Read all the tennis instruction books you can get your hands on. They are a great assistance.

It is surprising to many people that more tennis can be learned off the tennis court in the study of theory and in watching the best players in play, than can ever be learned in one's own actual play. I do not advise that you should miss opportunities to play tennis, far from it. Play tennis whenever you can, but strive when playing to put into practice the theories you have read about or the strokes you have seen.

Never let yourself become discouraged by lack of progress. The trick of playing some stroke you have worked on for weeks unsuccessfully, will suddenly come to you when you least expect it. Good tennis players are the product of very hard work. Very few players are born geniuses at the game. Tennis is a game that pays you dividends all your life. A tennis racquet is a letter of introduction in any city.

The brotherhood of tennis is universal, for none but a fit sportsman can succeed in the game for any long period of time. Tennis offers relaxation, excitement, exercise, and pure enjoyment to the person who is tied fast to his business until late afternoon.

The following order of development produces the quickest and most lasting results: 1. Concentration on the game. 2. Keep the eye on the ball. 3. Foot-work and weight-control. 4. Strokes. 5. Court position. 6. Court generalship or match play. 7. Tennis psychology.

Concentration. Tennis is played primarily with the mind. The best racquet technique invented will not be enough if the directing mind is wandering. There are many causes of a wandering mind in a tennis match. The chief one is loss of interest in the game. No one should play tennis with any hope of real success unless he cares sufficiently about the game to be willing to do the spadework necessary to learn the game properly.

Pack it in immediately unless you are willing to work very hard. The weather, conditions of play or the noises in the gallery often bewilder even experienced match-players playing in new surroundings. Total concentration on the game is the only cure for a wandering mind, and the quicker that lesson is learned the quicker the advancement of the player.

The best way to keep a match in focus is to go for every set, every game in the set, every point in the game and, eventually, every shot in the point. A set is merely a conglomeration of made and missed shots, and the man who misses the least is the final victor.

All About No Deposit Casino

By Anand Maheshwari

It is being found that the concept of no deposit casino bonus is misleading people increasingly and common professional bonus hunters and punters are among the sufferers. What can be the basic problem with no deposit casino bonus then? As per experts, the offer of no deposit happens to be a mere form of advertising that speak out in the language, "You can have this money given that you try our casino games, if you lose the money don't worry as it's a gift from us to you". It also indicates a hidden message, "Here's a $100 chip for staying at our hotel".

Are you getting the point? As indicated by studies, there are, if truth be told, three different forms of no deposit casino bonuses. These include free spins (e.g. 100 free spins on the fruit machine slots), free money (e.g. $10 to play our casino games), and free money with a time constraint (e.g. play with $500 for 1 hour). What leads to the confusion then? It occurs when players, for the sake of earning money, take these offers granted and without reading the "terms and conditions." The formidable presence of terms and conditions indicate that there is a limit to how much one can win and it is in the region of $200. The other term that should be focused always is the "deposit to claim you winnings" condition. This means that a person, if he/she wins $200, will have to deposit an amount before the sum of $200 is claimed.

Why is this done? The main objective is to prevent the professional bonus hunters from making the most of the no deposit casino bonus system. On the other hand, the third term that should be concentrated is the play through requirements. This point toward how much the player need to wager before his/her bonus has been cleared. This is similar to the play through requirements for the regular Casino Bonus.

What should you do to collect the no deposit casino bonus? You have to click on the casino you want to play at, followed by the opening of new player real money account. The next steps include downloading of the casino (if there is any necessity), visit to the cashier and entering the associated bonus code in the section marked "enter bonus code" or "enter promo code" or "redeem coupon". Keep in mind that no deposit casino bonus is credited to the player's account immediately and hence you don't have to worry.

Well, some more conditions have to be satisfied before the withdrawal of no deposit casino bonus. There is no need of any deposit or credit card information to collect a no deposit bonus. Take for instance you have become able to collect on a $50 free chip bonus. You can use the bonus money in the form of real money while betting. But you have to gratify several stipulations of casino's play through so as to cash it out.

There may be differences between rules and regulations of online casinos (a great possibility is there). So you are advised to check casino's policy and bonus rules regarding collecting multiple bonuses.

Is It True Hockey Still A Major Sport?

By Denise I Smithson

Hockey was once one of the four major American sports. The big four were the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League. But yet, even as some in those group dominate the others (the NFL dominates all sports in terms of popularity), the NHL has not been able to really keep up with the others.

In fact, hockey is not truly considered to be in that big four grouping any longer. Of course, a more accurate description of the sports climate might show that NASCAR and MMA have joined the NFL, NBA and MLB in that top tier. Hockey however is on the outside looking in, no longer enjoying the popularity it once did.

Why did the NHL suffer this rapid decline? Was it the lockout which caused there to be no 2004-2005 season? The lockout was only a symptom of a deeper problem; sadly, it all has to do with money rather than the merits of hockey as a sport. NHL franchises began finding themselves in a sticky situation; salaries for players continued to climb even as revenues declined for many teams. Other than hugely popular franchises like the Rangers and the Red Wings, teams found themselves simply unable to pay the salaries commanded by many NHL players.

As any fan who lives in a city with a NHL franchise knows, declining ticket sales aren't the cause of NHL franchises' slumping revenues; games continue to be well attended and eagerly looked forward to. The reason for the lower revenue has to do with broadcast rights, a significant source of income for the NHL. Hockey is simply less popular as a televised sport than it once was.

The lockout however certainly didn't help the situation. When hockey returned the next season they made a deal with the network known as OLN - now Versus - to broadcast their weekly national games. However that cable station reaches only a small fraction of the homes that the major networks reach. This means that hockey simply isn't viewable by a great deal of the population, leaving it in a spot where it can hardly increase its popularity.

Adding to this problem is the fact that hockey isn't the most captivating sport to watch on television. It is a fantastic sport to take in live. This helps explain why the sport is so popular in major metropolitan areas where there is a hockey team. These fans get to go to the games and take in the rabid culture. You can hear the turns and stops of the skating, you can feel the jarring checks as players hit the ice and fall into the boards. The speed and precise nature of the game comes out in a way that it simply cannot on television. Those people who never see a game in person therefore, may not even know what they are missing out on by not being a hockey fan.

While it has slipped from the top four and there are some problems which need to be ironed out to truly convey all of the action and excitement of NHL hockey on TV, if the league can find a new broadcast carrier with a larger market share, it may still be able to return to its former status as one of the most important American sports. The NHL may be down, but it's too early to count it out just yet.

C Programming Courses In The UK - Options

By Jason Kendall

As there are a plethora of IT courses available, it can be difficult to find the right one. Select one that's on a par with your personal character, and that's in demand in the working environment. There's a wide range of courses to choose from. Often people get started on Microsoft user skills, many go for career changes into Programming, Web Design, Networking or Databases - and these are all possible. However, with so many to choose from, don't pluck a course out of the air. We recommend you get help from an expert who knows the computer industry, and can help you arrive at the right destination.

By keeping costs to a minimum, computer training providers can now offer contemporary courses that feature outstanding training and guidance for much less than is asked for by more out-dated organisations.

Many folks don't catch on to what information technology is doing for all of us. It is stimulating, innovative, and means you're doing your bit in the gigantic wave of technology affecting everyones lives in the 21st century. We're barely starting to understand how all this change will affect us. The way we interrelate with the rest of the world will be inordinately affected by technology and the web.

A regular IT worker over this country as a whole will also receive significantly more money than fellow workers in much of the rest of the economy. Average remuneration packages are around the top of national league tables. The search for properly certified IT professionals is guaranteed for the significant future, because of the constant expansion in the technology industry and the huge shortage still in existence.

The age-old way of teaching, with books and manuals, is usually pretty hard going. If this sounds like you, look for learning programmes which feature interactive and multimedia modules. If we can involve all our senses in the learning process, our results will often be quite spectacular.

Programs are now found on CD and DVD discs, where your computer becomes the centre of your learning. Utilising the latest video technology, you can watch instructors demonstrating how something is done, and then have a go at it yourself - with interactive lab sessions. It's very important to see some example materials from any company that you may want to train through. You'll want to see that they include video, demonstrations and various interactive elements.

Opt for physical media such as CD or DVD ROM's if possible. This then avoids all the potential pitfalls with internet connection failure and issues with signal quality.

Beware of putting too much emphasis, as many people do, on the training course itself. Training is not an end in itself; you're training to become commercially employable. Stay focused on what it is you want to achieve. It's common, for example, to obtain tremendous satisfaction from a year of studying and then spend 20 miserable years in a tiresome job role, simply because you did it without the correct research when it was needed - at the start.

It's essential to keep your focus on what it is you're trying to achieve, and formulate your training based on that - avoid getting them back-to-front. Stay on target and study for a job you'll still be enjoying many years from now. Seek guidance and advice from a skilled professional, even if you have to pay a small fee - it's much safer and cheaper to discover early on if something is going to suit and interest you, instead of discovering after two full years that the job you've chosen is not for you and have to return to the start of another program.

A sneaky way that training companies make a lot more is through up-front charges for exams then giving it 'Exam Guarantee' status. This looks like a great idea for the student, until you think it through:

Obviously it isn't free - you're still coughing up for it - it's just been included in your package price. It's well known in the industry that when trainees fund their relevant examinations, one after the other, they will be much more likely to pass first time - since they're aware of their payment and therefore will put more effort into their preparation.

Don't you think it's more sensible to not pay up-front, but when you take the exam, instead of paying a premium to the training college, and to take it closer to home - instead of miles away at the college's beck and call? Huge profits are secured by a significant number of organisations that incorporate exam fees into the cost of the course. For quite legitimate reasons, a number of students don't get to do their exams and so the company is quids-in. Surprising as it sounds, there are training companies who rely on that fact - and that's how they increase their profits. Most companies will require you to sit pre-tests and not allow you to re-take an exam until you've demonstrated an excellent ability to pass - which makes an 'Exam Guarantee' frankly useless.

Prometric and VUE exams are approximately 112 pounds in the UK. What's the point of paying huge 'Exam Guarantee' fees (usually wrapped up in the course package price) - when good quality study materials, the proper support and a commitment to studying and the use of authorised exam preparation tools are actually the key to your success.

Throw out a salesman who recommends a training program without a decent chat so as to understand your abilities as well as level of experience. Ensure that they have a generous array of training so they can give you an appropriate solution. With some commercial experience or certification, you may find that your starting point is not the same as someone new to the industry. Consider starting with some basic user skills first. This can help whip your basic knowledge into shape and make the learning curve a much easier going.

Rafael Nadal Biography - Set Worlds "Youngest" Tennis Records

By Larry Kidman

Nicnamed "Rafa" Rafael Nadal has set many of the world's "youngest" tennis playing records. This young man rose through the ranks of the professional tennis circuit so quickly that it has quite literally been like a "whirlwind'. He has enjoyed an extraordinary amount of wins, and this brief Rafael Nadal biography, takes us through just a few of these.

Rafa is now ranked as the second best singles tennis player world-wide. He has had sixty consecutive tennis wins on the clay-courts and as winning streaks go, this is quite remarkable.

Rafa was born in the town of Manacor on the Island of Mallorca, on the 3rd June 1986. He is no newcomer to sporting achievement as his family has another well known sporting personality in its midst. His uncle was a professional football player for FC Barcelona for many years and he was only 15 when he turned professional.

This young man was also only the tender age of 15 when he won his first ATP in Mallorca. The person he played to win this title was Ramon Delgado, and this win ensured that Rafa became the 9th player in an ATP during the "Open" era to win the Championship before he was 16 years of age. The following year he was ranked in the top 100 best tennis players in the world and was the second youngest player to achieve this remarkable feat.

Making a debut at Wimbledon aged 16 years in 2003, he managed to reach the 3rd round. No tennis player since Boris Becker had done this. His meteoric rise to fame continued and by 2005 saw him ranked the 5th best tennis singles player, making him the youngest player to make it into the top ten since Andrei Medvedev.

Rafa won a Grand Slam on his first appearance and is only the seventh player to ever achieve this. He also won the US open as a teenager, the first player to do this since Pete Sampras in 1990. Pet Sampras was 19 years of age at the time. He is quite literally a tennis hero, and as the winner of four French Opens consecutively, deserves this accolade, so much so that this Rafael Nadal biography is important for one so young.

Grasping the World Series of Poker Payout Structure

By Brian Garvin

To learn more about the World Series of Poker Payout Structure, you have to know where it all began. 1970 to 1977 a marketing genius named Benny Binion promoted his poker tournament as "winner-take-all". World Series of Poker has never been winner-take-all and probably never will. Benny Binion took that concept, made his event a world championship caliber tournament, and the buzz caught on. World Series of Poker prize money was always negotiated by the players.

Before the tournament would start, the players voted on various ways for the pot to be split. Players would resume playing typically using 25% of their previous chips. 75% of the other chips were exchanged for cash at the cage. Players designating distribution of the pots, isn't how it happens today but that's how it started.

25% usage of previous chips and 75% exchanged for cash was the standard operation procedure and prize distribution until 1977. The idea of a winner-take-all event was fabricated and the prize distribution and standing operating procedures where grounds for a legal investigation. The federal broadcasting law wasn't enforced even though such a practice like the scandal of the quiz show "Twenty One" was rigged. This law wasn't even outlawed.

Popular television network CBS was put in a rather odd position, after it drummed up its own version of the winner-take-all tournament. This tournament was in tennis, and featured tennis stars Jimmy Conners and Rod Laver in the finals. Connors and Laver would play a great final match only split the prize money. With Conners and Laver splitting the spoils, CBS was fined by the FCC and required to issue a public apology.

With federal investigations being conducted, Mr. Binion realized that he had better act quickly and make some changes. Binion quickly disposed of the idea of winner-take-all, and learned that he would have a better following by paying more spots instead of less. So Binion came up with another marketing success, telling the players in his tournament that he was paying the top 5 spots that year.

In the 1978 WSOP Binion kept his word and paid out the top 5 spots. Binion soon realized that with an overwhelming growth in entrants that he was going to have to pay out more spots to keep new players coming in. The then current payout of the top 5 slots would last until 1981, when Binion then told players it would be paid the top 9 spots.

With the field on the rise, the WSOP would set records in upcoming years in not only attendance but payouts as well. Chris Moneymaker was the first to set the new standard in winnings, in 2003. In 2004, Binion paid out 225 players. In 2005, 560 were paid, and in 2006, 873 cashed in.

The WSOP is now shown on ESPN which brings its largest sports viewing population to the poker tournament, making it bigger every year. Its hard to imagine having these kind of fields in the mid 1970's, but where the game has come, and the steps at which it has taken to get there are amazing. As you can see the payout structure has grown monumental over the years, just like the games popularity.

Review - NCAA Football 10

By Carl Ferguson

College football is something that nearly everyone enjoys. The sound of helmets crushing together. The crowd roaring and the band playing. The atmosphere just sends chills down the spine of every football fan. While there is no replacement for the real thing, NCAA Football 10 comes pretty darn close. The franchise has never been better and there are a lot of new features to check out. Why would you want to get the latest installment of NCAA Football 10? Let's look at the details.

Even though most things have stayed the same with regards to NCAA Football 10, there's still no doubt that you'll get to enjoy a the most realistic football simulation. In fact you've probably never even come across something as realistic as this, thanks to the amazing power of the next generation consoles. It cannot be denied that NCAA Football 10 simply gets better and better each year.

Just as is to be expected, this year's version incorporates numerous new features but of course, just as in previous years, you can still play against other people online. In fact, the game now includes a mode known as "Season Showdown" in which you get to play fore your favorite school. To start with; you get to choose one school to which you would like to play and of course, the more you play and win, the more points you end up getting for your school. In addition to trivia games, there are also a number of other interactive games you can play in order to win points. When you get to the end of the year, the school with the most points is awarded the Season Showdown National Championship. Of course, as you can imagine, this is an ideal way for you to interact with a number of other players, not to mention the fact that you get to cheer your school on.

Even with many new features, one simply cannot deny that the dynasty mode remains one of the ultimate features of the game given that you are able to take the game a step further by creating your own school. When you do this, you of course get the opportunity to name your school, pick a fight song, design a school logo, and of course, you get to create your very own team. Interestingly enough, you can even customize certain individual players in order to play on your team.

The game play is still second to none. For those used to playing Madden, you get a different type of football game. For example, the ability to run the option is a fun feature that you don't get in an NFL game.

Another feature which is by all accounts very cool is the "game planning" which allows one to place emphasis on certain aspects of the game. For example, if you're experiencing difficulty at running the ball, you can simply choose to place more emphasis on opening up running lanes with this will of course result in more holding calls.

Another very well come addition to the game is the "play calling" mode. Essentially, this makes it possible for you to catch your opponents off guard, by keeping them guessing. Also, you have the opportunity to run several plays out off the same formation.

Overall, there's just nothing out there quite like NCAA Football 10. It is unmatched in the gaming industry and it is the leader in the field for a reason. Check out the game today and immerse yourself in college football again.

The Attractiveness Of Golf Vacation Resorts

By Bella Holly

For golf nuts (and who playing the game isn't?), a dreamlike time at golf vacation resorts is more and more a possibility these days. The notion of playing eighteen holes of golf on a world-class course, combined with a stay at an equally world-class hotel is an idea that can't be topped. And as far as finding any fault with that notion, there just doesn't seem to be any.

The beauty of a golf vacation resort is that there are many of them all over the world. The ancestral home of the game of golf, Scotland, offers a quality golfing experience on some of the most famous courses in the golfing world. True golf vacation resorts abound, though, in North America. Some of these resorts are cathedrals dedicated to golf and golfing activities.

For those wanting to experience a true PGA atmosphere, and play golf on a frequent home of the U.S. Open, there's nothing like one of the vacation destinations at Pebble Beach, on the Monterey Peninsula. Pebble Beach Golf Links boasts 7 courses and is the number one-ranked set of public courses in the United States.

Lodgings at any of these golf vacation resorts can be first-rate, also. For example, the golf resort at Pinehurst, in North Carolina, was the winner of the 2008 Best Golf Resort award from Travel and Leisure magazine. A resort like this will combine a magnificent course with one or several on-site luxury hotels that cater to every need. Truly, some of these resort hotels are four-star in every respect.

The attractiveness of golf vacation resorts as a way to not only get in a truly outstanding golfing experience and a luxury hotel stay in one all-in-one package can't be beat. For many avid golfers, the opportunity to play on world-class, PGA-certified courses is really a chance to play in the major leagues of golf, if only as a visitor.

It is a dance of communication, a body interaction initiated in a medium of music and beat where partners communicate using their body. Each body action has an equivalent response.

There are lots in salsa dance. A romantic and passionate dream dance with someone special is a big motivation in learning salsa. Imagine yourself in a rhythm with your partner, in a mode for love doing romantic performance on a dance floor. It is so intense you are overwhelming with desire. Furthermore, salsa is also a creative outlet for stress; it can easily rid-off stress, and recharge you with energy for another long week of working.

Learning this dance means dancing through the Latino beat music with your desired partner. You can have the most intimate dance of your lifetime with whomever and however you want it to be. Moreover, aside from a romantic dream dance, salsa can provide avenues for creative therapeutic stress relieving and also for cardiovascular activities.

Learning how to dance salsa is now easy. There are many different tutorial dance videos in the internet that teaches step by step the basics of how to dance salsa. From sexy hip swings, weight change, steps, kicks, taps, hand flips and head turns - all can be easily learned by just simply downloading videos in the internet.

The most important technique in salsa dancing aside from the foot, hip and body swings and turns, is the ability to dance to the music and improvise gracefully.

Salsa is not about the steps borrowed from rumba, or anywhere else. It is about making a free flowing movement expressing yourself to rhythm of the music. And the more eccentric and improvised it is, the more beautiful it gets. So don't forget to improvise and patent your own moves.

What Is The Best Guitar To Learn On?

By Kim Clarebrooke

For those of you that are wanting to get into the hobby of playing guitar, you will first need to get your hands on one. Making the choice from starting off with either an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar can be a pain in the neck, so hopefully I can make that decision a little bit easier for you.

Try to ask yourself what fits your taste for music. Are you more on the heavy metal side or just plainly characterized by the Spanish feel? Choosing depends on the type of music you listen to or appreciate.

Every beginner has some confusion in selecting the best guitar they could get. The complexity in buying a guitar is as hard as choosing who is prettier, Angelina Jolie or Jessica Alba? To get over with the hassle, below are some tips on picking the best type of guitar that would fit your desire for melody and tune.

I already mentioned the importance of playing what you like to listen to. This will narrow the 2 choices between electric and acoustic down to one, then you will just have to pick a certain brand and model, which is the hard part.

The most important part of choosing a guitar for the beginner is the budget. How much are you willing to invest in this hobby? For starters, just make sure that your guitar stays in tune, that will work fine for the beginning guitar player.

If you are choosing to get an electric guitar, you will have to spend more money as you will need to buy an amp and a guitar chord also. For this reason you may have to save money for awhile, or ask the seller if they have any type of payment plans that you could make to purchase the guitar of your choice.

Next thing to look at and consider is the types of features that the guitar has. Will you need a whammy bar, or if you are getting an acoustic guitar, do you want one that has a built in electric chord for it?

With all of the choices of different types of guitars out there, you will often second guess your choice after you buy your first. Just remember, you can always get another guitar, it does not hurt to have an acoustic and electric guitar in your music room.

Still stumped? Ask around, friends you might have that play guitar. There are also many online communities where you can ask members what guitar they started off with, and whether or not they recommend it.

Trading Price Action

By Ahmad Hassam

To become a successful trader if you are new, you should immerse yourself completely in the subject in order to find your edge. If you already a winning at trading than you should know exactly what your edge is.

Even the advanced traders find it difficult to interpret and trade the sharp moves often seen in the forex markets. Learning to read and interpret price action can be a huge advantage for you.

In a steep decline, one should be careful to measure the reaction of the longs. You must know if the move has the chance to turn into a rout.

Look at the reaction of the longs as soon as the rate begins to go south, this way you may be able to determine if the market is sitting on a large number of long positions. In case, the spike is followed by a sharp V recovery, you should avoid shorting the pair.

More buyers entering the market at lower levels tells you that the market is not heavily long and traders are seeing it as an opportunity to buy low. These lower prices mean bargain prices for you if you wish to accumulate long positions.

Moving averages (MAs) are among the oldest, true and tested indicators. Widely used moving averages are the 50, 100 and 200 day MAs.

Moving averages are lagging indicators and relate with the past price action. MAs can be used effectively in day trading for entering and exiting positions in one way markets.

During times of sharp price moves, it becomes difficult for the traders to enter a position as retracements are far and few. This makes most of the traders confused and forces them to start taking arbitrary decisions.

Moving Averages can be used as dynamic support and resistance levels in such situations. This will give results superior than the static support and resistance levels used by majority of the traders.

The advantages of using MAs this way gives you dynamic levels to trade off and gauge price action. MAs can help you avoid using arbitrary levels when you should take profit.

Massage Chairs Calm Lower Lumbar Spasms

By James A Knolon

Did you know that low back pain affects hundreds of thousands of people each year? We all know the symptoms. One wrong twist or turn and our back makes a twang and ouch! Sometimes, it happens fast, while other times its a gradual process. Symptoms develop through times perhaps starting with stiffness and progressing on to soreness. At some point in our lifetime, we will experience low back pain. As someone that has lower back pain, I found that a massage chair has helped in many ways.

One of the most important areas for low back pain is prevention. There are many things you can do proactively to minimize the occurrence of low back problems. Prevention means you have to be aware of things that can impact your back health in a negative way. By changing some of the most basic habits with respect to sitting, standing and lifting you can reduce the occurrence of low back pain.

The first areas of prevention are making sure you use correct posture when standing, sitting and lifting. These 3 activities constitute the highest percentage of injuries to the lower back. If you stand, for example, you should hold your head up high and your shoulders should be back. No slouching. If you slouch then the weight is being concentrated in the lower back which fatigues the muscles.

Another area of prevention is your posture when sitting. We spend a lot of time sitting and if we do not sit correctly, then it impacts the health of your back negatively. For instance, if you slouch forward, then this places more strain on the upper back to compensate. This can be corrected instantly by putting your shoulders back and sitting upright. This prevents the concentration of force which through time can help to misalign the back.

Another area to monitor proactively is lifting. Lifting involves additional weight and movement. Because of the extra weight, using proper lifting techniques is very important. The main change that is needed is to let your legs do the lifting and not your back. Most people bend over and let their lower back take the brunt of the weight. The proper way is to bend your knees and pick up the object by extending your legs straight again.

Massage chairs help relieve lower back pain by massage treatments. There are a variety of programs I have used to reduce soreness and discomfort. A rolling massage helps to adjust the vertebrae. You can use a shiatsu massage to relieve soreness and to revitalize your muscles. I have even used some of the traction features of the newer massage chairs to stretch my lower body.

A massage chair can help adjust the spine with the use of a rolling massage. A rolling massage uses the rollers to go up and down the spine. As the rollers pass each vertebrae, they apply a slight traction that flexes the soft tissues which helps to make them more flexible. This is especially relieving when they are tight and stiff.

A Shiatsu massage is a very relieving massage that can be delivered by a massage chair. The Shiatsu technique came from Japan and has been integrated into many massage chair programs. Shiatsu stimulates acupressure points throughout the back. The back is known to have over 100 such points. These points help induce full body relaxation. Additionally, chopping and kneading massages are used to relieve tension in the muscles.

One excellent feature of massage chairs is a stretching system. The stretching system is used to elongate different parts of the body. Some stretching systems target the lower body while others can do the arms and shoulders. The rolling massage provides for traction of the spine. In some cases, most of the body can be stretch with the functions of the massage chair providing needed relief.

Prevention of back pain is the best way to avoid low back pain. By taking some simple precautions, many types of injuries can be avoided. Massage chairs can be a great investment in this respect. Use a massage chair to warm up before activities and to warm down after activities. If you feel pain in a given area, you can target a massage for relief. A massage chair can be a versatile partner to keep your spine in top health.

The Mapes Hotel: Lost Landmark Of Northern Nevada History

By Ross Everett

The Mapes Hotel in Reno, Nevada met its demise on Superbowl Sunday of 2000 when 75 pounds of explosives packed inside the structure's support columns brought it to the ground. The controlled demolition came despite years of effort by a number of groups within the community to preserve the building with lawsuits, redevelopment proposals, and grass roots lobbying efforts. The National Turst for Historic Preservation even took up the cause, challenging the destruction in a lawsuit that eventually reached the Nevada Supreme Court.

While the efficacy and justification of demolishing the Mapes is debatable, one thing that is not is the glorious history of the hotel. It was built in 1947, and signaled the start of the modern era of casino gambling. Despite the notoriety of Bugsy Siegel and the Flamingo in Las Vegas, it was the Mapes that became the first building in the nation to have a hotel, casino and live entertainment under one roof. It also became the hotel of choice for celebrities staying in Northern Nevada. Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe stayed at The Mapes during the filming of 'The Misfits'. Joseph McCarthy, America's famed anti-Communist crusader, admitted to a reporter over cocktails in the Mapes Lounge that he really didn't have a list of Communists in the US despite his frequent and vitriolic insistence to the contrary.

In the 50s and 60s it became, along with Lake Tahoes Cal-Neva Lodge the place to be seen in Northern Nevada. The top floor, window-walled Sky Room showcased performances by the legends: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jackie Gleason, Louis Prima, Mae West, Milton Berle, Sammy Davis, Jr., and the Marx Brothers among others. Subsequent years were not kind to downtown Reno but the Mapes continued to do well during the 60's and 70's. The hotel finally closed in 1982, due more to financial difficulties experienced by the Mapes family caused by one of their other Northern Nevada gaming properties than anything else.

Reno never experienced the massive growth that occurred in Las Vegas and southern Nevada, and for that reason the destruction of the Mapes is more open to debate than the hotel demolitions to the south. Even the demolition of The Sands"perhaps the most historically significant casino in the state"is hard to argue against given the inability of such a small property to compete in the current Las Vegas marketplace and in light of the value of the mid-strip real estate. The old properties may have historic value to pop culture historians, but their survival doesn't make economic sense. They're simply 'analog players in a digital world'.

This is not the case in Reno, where land and buildings for development in virtually every casino area are abundant. The city argued that the land on which the Mapes stood was necessary for their redevelopment efforts--a somewhat absurd position given the realities of downtown Reno and the lack of any real development on the property since the demolition. Despite receiving a number of viable concepts for the Mapes Building, the City Redevelopment Authority rejected all of them and the Mapes was destined for demolition.

The role of the City Redevelopment Authority was questioned throughout the process. Overlooking the Truckee River, the hotel was on a prime location between the downtown casino area and the riverfront district. Back in 1996, the city of Reno purchased the hotel and began entertaining proposals for renovation and redevelopment. A number of sound financial proposals were presented that would preserve the integrity of the structure including condominiums, office space, and perhaps most viable, upscale senior apartments. Oddly, all of these proposals were turned down by the citys Redevelopment Agency which eventually led to the demolition of the structure.

Following the 2000 demolition, the lot remained vacant for over a year until a temporary ice skating rink was hastily constructed the following winter. The site now houses a permanent ice skating rink which, while not a bad use for the land, isn't the sort of game changing improvement suggested by the City Redevelopment Agency and their adamant insistence that the building be demolished. To the contrary, it appears they had no specific plan or even general idea of what to do with the land but for some reason wanted to see the hotel come down. This has led to all manner of speculation, ranging from financial self interest to a rumor that the structure was 'haunted' and needed to be destroyed to forestall future paranormal activity in Washoe County. Whatever the reason, the city of Reno lost a valuable landmark that played a significant part in the economic growth of the entire state.

Guidelines To Maintain Your Skateboard With Proper Grip Tape.

By Todd Martin

With the intention to take care for your skateboard like you be supposed to, you will have to change the grip tape as required. The further you make use of the skateboard the further repeatedly you will have to do so. The more aggressively you perform on it the sooner it will wear away. As soon as you have worn out grip tape your skateboard isn't going to perform like it is supposed to for you. It as well isn't going to be as secure as it might be for you to be on it.

Remember there is a specific manner in which you have to apply grip tape to your skateboard. It wont help to do the procedure if you don't do it correctly. Always ensure you have an excellent quality grip tape to apply. This may be procured from sport wares stores or online. You possibly will have to try some different brands prior to you get one you are very pleased with. You may read reviews regarding them online as well if you aren't certain which one to check.

For the best results you want to carefully clean your deck before you apply the new grip tape. If you don't, it can end up being uneven due to debris underneath it. Use a clean cloth to gently wipe the deck down. You don't want to use anything harsh that can end up scratching it. The way in which you apply the grip tape for your design is going to affect how long it will last.

Too many skaters get into a rush here and then they have to spend more time redoing it later on. You have to apply it slowly so that you don't have any air bubbles under it. To keep it looking great, use a sharp blade to trim the excess from the design. Be careful not to go too deep though or you could end up scarring your deck. Make sure you apply pressure to the edges of the grip tape so it won't be coming up in those areas. If you apply the grip tape from the center out to the edges you will find it is much easier to properly apply.

Applying grip tape properly to your skateboard is going to keep you safe on it. You will be able to perform at your very best. The fact that it is affordable means you have no excuse not to keep up with this part of maintaining your skateboard. There are plenty of fun designs and colors of grip tape to select as well. This can make fixing up your skateboard fun. Some people go with the same thing each time while others like to give it a new look. It is up to you how you will take care of your skateboard, but make use, the use of grip tape as needed is part of the routine.

It possibly will take time to turn into professional at applying grip tape like GRIP GUM 4inch STICK to your skateboard. Be patient and take all the time you have to, to conclude the procedure. You will realize that the more you do it the quicker you happen to be at it. You will in addition notice that the appearance of it turn out to be more skilled with time. If you require help request a friend with experience or look at a number of online videos to get a better idea of the method.

The Legacy Of Bobby Hull

By Ross Everett

'The Golden Jet' Bobby Hull was the most feared goal scorer of the 1960's and 1970's and arguably the greatest left wing to ever play professional hockey. Along with teammate Stan Mikita, Hull made the Chicago Blackhawks one of the NHLs true offensive powerhouses. He and Mikita were the first NHL players to use curved stick blades, which made his already wicked slapshot even more difficult to stop. This was a very significant development in pro hockey, and now its rare to find a player that plays with the flat stick blade that was once commonplace before Hull and Mikita's revolutionary modification.

Born in rural Belleville, Ontario Hull rose quickly through the ranks of junior hockey and by the time he was 18 had joined the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. He was a very effective rookie, and by his third year in the league was leading the NHL in scoring. In 1961, he played an important role in the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup championship victory.

In 1966, Hull broke a hallowed NHL scoring mark by becoming the first player to net more than 50 goals in a season. His 51st goal broke the record of 50 goals held by Montreal Canadien greats Bernie Boom Boom Geoffrion and Maurice Rocket Richard. Hull would go on to score 54 goals in the 1966 and would surpass that mark by scoring 58 in 1968. These numbers arent surprising in light of his slapshots deadly speed and accuracy"Hulls shot was once clocked at a mind boggling 118 MPH!

Hulls tenure with the Chicago Blackhawks ended in 1972, when he jumped to the upstart World Hockey Association (WHA). Initially, Hulls response that he would jump ship for a million bucks was an offhanded joke but when the WHA ownership agreed to contribute to that sum thinking that it would provide instant credibility for the league it became a reality.

In the WHA, Hull was quickly back to his old tricks. On a line with Swedish superstars Ulf Nilsson and Anders Hedberg called The Hot Line, he led the Jets to two league championship AVCO Cup victories. In 1977, he set a new professional hockey record with 77 goals in a season which surpassed Phil Espositos 1970-71 mark of 76 by a single goal.

Hull suffered from knee trouble throughout his career, and it eventually forced his retirement from hockey in 1979. He would play in a few games for the Whalers before calling it a career. With the exception of an abortive comeback attempt with the New York Rangers in 1981 that was the end of his professional hockey career.

Modern fans may be more familiar with Hulls third son, Brett Hull, who earned NHL superstar status in his own right. Like his dad, Hull was a prolific goal scorer with a scary slapshot and will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Hull is now 70 years old and splits his time between the Toronto area and Chicago where he serves as a PR ambassador for the Blackhawks organization. He is expected to formally induct his son into the Hall of Fame at the ceremonies later this summer.

Your CV is a selling document. It's probably the best chance that you will ever have to show someone else just what you can do. It may help to think of it as a glossy brochure, rather like the one you might pick up in a Mercedes or a BMW showroom advertising their latest model car

In the English speaking world, it can be considered rude to boast about yourself- nobody likes a smart alec so why should anyone like that sort of arrogance in a CV. The bottom line is that there is a significant difference between arrogance and confidence. Your CV is a place to show others exactly how valuable you have been to those companies fortunate enough to employ you

Coming over like a pushy double glazing salesman in a CV will no help you. Not unless you're looking for a job selling double glazing anyway! Quiet confidence in factual achievements leap out of the page as they are honest and have the recruiter wanting to know more. Achievements in the past show a track record that is likely to be repeated (at least in the recruiters eyes)

Most mothers taught us to be honest. So where did we learn to lie? Your CV is one place where lies genuinely have no place. No half truths either please. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. There is nothing, however that says you have to put anything in your CV about your mistakes. Focus on the good things that you have done. Mistakes? Leave them out

A CV is amongst other things a detailed document. It is meant to show the reader a potted life story of the subject of the CV. Including significant levels of detail starts to colour what can be a very bland document. Make it easy for an employer to find the information that they need to know. If they can't find the information that they want quickly and easily, your CV will be binned and you won't know why

You worked hard for your qualifications so please make sure that they are included on your CV. Work back wards from the highest level of qualification through to the lowest, separating out the professional qualifications and the educational ones

Being able to drive a motorised vehicle is an advantage that you should not forget to exploit. Passing a driving test of any level shows that you are responsible, are able to take instructions and show a degree of independence. Show clearly on your CV the sort of vehicles that you can drive, you never know when that may be important to the employer

Recruiters don't really need to know your age. Of course, for some professions it is important, for example professional sports people. Otherwise, leave your age off your CV. Make absolutely certain though never to include your date of birth. This is highly sensitive information which could be used with other information (like your address) to steal your identity

Using Commodity Prices in Currency Trading

By Ahmad Hassam

Commodities, namely gold and oil, have a substantial connection with the forex markets. Understanding the relationship between gold, oil and currencies can help forex traders gauge risk, forecast price changes as well as understand exposure.

Gold and oil prices generally tend to move based on almost similar fundamental forces that affect some currency pairs. Four major currencies, the Canadian Dollar, the Swiss Franc the New Zealand Dollar and the Australian Dollar, are considered to be commodity currencies.

The CHF, CAD, AUD, and NZD all have strong correlation with gold prices. Natural gold reserves and currency laws in these countries result in almost mirror like movements between gold and these currencies. The CAD also tends to move with the oil prices.

However, the correlation between CAD and oil prices is not that strong and substantial. Each one of these currencies has a correlation with gold and oil and the fundamental reasons for that correlation. You need to understand the fundamental reasons for each correlation.

Knowledge of the fundamental factors behind these movements, their direction and strength could be a good method to discover trends in both the markets. There is a strong correlation between gold prices and US Dollar as well.

During unstable geopolitical times as well as when fears of global recession become strong like that presently, investors tend to shy away from Dollar and instead turn to gold as a safe haven for their investments.

Therefore, as Dollar depreciates, gold prices tend to appreciate as wary investors become afraid of losing their wealth. AUD/USD, NZD/USD and USD/CHF currency pairs tend to mirror gold movements.

Oil prices normally tend to have a huge impact on the global economy. Remember, the early part of 2008 when oil and commodity prices jumped skyward making the global economy jittery. Oil prices have come down but it is being forecasted that it will rise again when the global economy comes out of recession and the demand for oil rises again. USD/CAD currency pair tends to show an oil relationship. The major reason for this relationship is the heavy dependence of foreign oil in both US and Canada.

Generally speaking, commodity prices are considered to be a leading indicator of currency prices. The relationship can be positive or negative. As such, commodity block traders monitor gold and oil prices to forecast movements in currency pairs. The knowledge of this relationship between commodities and currencies can help forex traders to diversity risk exposure using different products. The combination of gold and forex trading can be very profitable.

Looking for Programming Courses Simplified

By Jason Kendall

What could a trainee looking for certified training from Microsoft expect to discover? Clearly, companies must supply a number of routes that match the needs of training tracks certified by Microsoft. Additionally you might hope to be given advice on the types of jobs you might go for when you've finished studying, and what sort of person such a career might be right for. Lots of people like to get advice on what would be best for them. When you've chosen your career path, you will require an appropriate course matched to go with your skills and abilities. Your study program should more than match your expectations.

A successful package of training will undoubtedly also offer Microsoft (or key company) exam simulation and preparation packages. Make sure that the practice exams aren't just asking you the right questions from the right areas, but are also posing them in the way that the actual final exam will structure them. This throws people if the questions are phrased in unfamiliar formats. As you can imagine, it's very important to know that you are completely prepared for your commercial exam before taking it. Rehearsing mock-up tests logs the information in your brain and saves you time and money on failed exams.

Commercial certification is now, undoubtedly, taking over from the older academic routes into the industry - so why is this happening? Industry now recognises that for an understanding of the relevant skills, proper accreditation from such organisations as Adobe, Microsoft, CISCO and CompTIA is far more effective and specialised - saving time and money. Many degrees, for example, clog up the training with a great deal of loosely associated study - with a syllabus that's far too wide. This holds a student back from learning the core essentials in sufficient depth.

Imagine if you were an employer - and you required somebody who had very specific skills. What is easier: Wade your way through loads of academic qualifications from hopeful applicants, struggling to grasp what they've learned and which commercial skills have been attained, or pick out specific commercial accreditations that specifically match what you're looking for, and then choose your interviewees based around that. The interview is then more about the person and how they'll fit in - rather than on the depth of their technical knowledge.

Speak with any practiced advisor and they'll entertain you with many awful tales of salespeople ripping-off unsuspecting students. Only deal with an experienced advisor that asks some in-depth questions to discover the most appropriate thing for you - not for their bank-account! You must establish the right starting point of study for you. Where you have a strong background, or sometimes a little commercial experience (maybe some existing accreditation?) then it could be that the point from which you begin your studies will vary from someone with no background whatsoever. Opening with a foundation module first can be the best way to commence your computer studies, but really depends on your level of familiarity with computers.

Full support is of the utmost importance - look for a package that includes 24x7 access, as not obtaining this level of support will severely put a damper on the speed you move through things. Try and find training with help available at any time of the day or night (even 1am on Sunday morning!) You'll need 24x7 direct access to mentors and instructors, and not simply some messaging service that means you're constantly waiting for a call-back when it's convenient for them.

It's possible to find professional training packages who provide their students online direct access support around the clock - no matter what time of day it is. Never compromise when you're looking for the right support service. The vast majority of students that can't get going properly, are in that situation because of support (or the lack of).

So many training providers only concern themselves with gaining a certificate, and completely avoid the reasons for getting there - which is of course employment. Always start with the end in mind - don't make the vehicle more important than the destination. It's common, in some situations, to obtain tremendous satisfaction from a year of studying only to end up putting 20 long years into a tiresome job role, as an upshot of not doing some quality research when it was needed - at the start.

You need to keep your eye on where you want to go, and create a learning-plan from that - don't do it the other way round. Stay focused on the end-goal and ensure that you're training for an end-result you'll still be enjoying many years from now. Chat with an experienced professional that has a background in the industry you're considering, and who'll explain to you a detailed run-down of the kind of things you'll be doing on a daily basis. Establishing this before beginning a learning program will save you both time and money.
